چکیده
The potential for biodiesel to become the main fuel in future seems be getting brighter with enactment of government policies related implementation Euro 4 standard. In addition, has also launched de-carbonization reduce greenhouse effect by referring International Maritime Organization (IMO) plan which sets a target reducing world carbon emissions 40% 2030 and 70% 2050. To answer this challenge, research aims find out bio-diesel production process utilizing waste cooking oil (WCO), next step is whether produced content properties that are following quality standards set government, final tested on test engine know value performance produced. two types methods used solve problem, first transesterification method, method commonly making biodiesel, utilizes catalyst separate pure from glycerol, using methanol NaOH catalysts. second experimental testing directly so resulting values including power, torque, SFC can known. obtained results form still included include Density, Viscosity, Flash Point, Pour Cetane Number. best torque B15 variation at speeds 1400 RPM 1600 RPM, effective power speed specific consumption 1000 speed. So it concluded mixing coconut into as an alternative good impact diesel performance.

Waste Cooking Oil as an Alternate Feedstock for Biodiesel Production
As crude oil price reach a new high, the need for developing alternate fuels has become acute. Alternate fuels should be economically attractive in order to compete with currently used fossil fuels. In this work, biodiesel (ethyl ester) was prepared from waste cooking oil collected from a local restaurant in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Ethyl alcohol with sodium hydroxide as a catalyst was use...
متن کاملEnzymatic Alholysis For Biodiesel Production From Waste Cooking Oil
Huge efforts have been carried out in recent years in order to develop an alternative fuel from renewable resources, such as biodiesel fuel. Therefore, the use of cooking oil as raw material is a very interesting alternative for the production of biodiesel. In this work, waste frying oil was used as raw material for enzymatic biodiesel production. Moreover, this study analyzes the influence of ...
متن کاملProduction of biodiesel by enzymatic transesterification of waste sardine oil and evaluation of its engine performance
Waste sardine oil, a byproduct of fish industry, was employed as a low cost feedstock for biodiesel production. It has relatively high free fatty acid (FFA) content (32 mg KOH/g of oil). Lipase enzyme immobilized on activated carbon was used as the catalyst for the transesterification reaction. Process variables viz. reaction temperature, water content and oil to methanol molar ratio were optim...
